TaskEzy Pty Limited ABN 84 623 413 392 (TaskEzy or We or Us) collects information about you when you use our TaskEzy application and services (together Services) and through other interactions with us.

We take the protection of your personal information seriously and we are committed to upholding our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth, Australia) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This Privacy Policy sets out the personal information we collect from you, the way in which we collect, use and secure that personal information, the way in which you can access and correct your personal information and what complaint procedures are available to you if you feel we have breached the Privacy Act.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, but when we do, we will use our best efforts to notify you, which may be by placing the updated Privacy Policy on our website, or notifying you through the TaskEzy Application, or emailing you at the email address on your account with us.

This Privacy Policy relates to personal information you provide to TaskEzy.  Where you also provide person information to another party (e.g. a Client, Supplier or Resource) via the TaskEzy Application, we encourage you to first consider the privacy policy of that other party.  TaskEzy is not responsible for information you make available to other parties via our TaskEzy Application.

WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND HOLD?  

We collect and hold personal information that relates to a user of our Services (User).  Any User may request services as a Client; and/or provide services as a Supplier (a business providing services) or as a Resource (an individual providing services).

Personal information we may collect includes:

  1. Your full name, address, email address, mobile phone number and other personal or contact details;
  2. Identification documentation to verify your identity;
  3. Licence details including (but not limited to) security licence number, liquor licence number, drivers licence number and details of other licences or accreditations;
  4. Details of government checks such as checks required in your jurisdiction in relation to child protection or COVID-19 vaccination status should this be a requirement of a Client or Supplier or at law;
  5. Bank-account details;
  6. We collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity;
  7. Location information (including venue locations, site details, incident locations and other relevant location points);
  8. Transaction information (including the time and date a service is provided, the location and duration of the service and other incidental information);
  9. Details of who you are working for or connecting via the TaskEzy Application with including your employers or entities to whom you provide services or who provide services to you;
  10. Any messages Users send to each other through the TaskEzy Application;
  11. Any rating of Users in the TaskEzy Application; and
  12. Any comments or queries you make.

HOW DO WE COLLECT AND HOLD YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We collect personal information from you when you:

  1. Create an account with us to use the Services;
  2. Invite others to join your account or link to your account to use the Services;
  3. Telephone, email or otherwise communicate with us via the TaskEzy Application or Website; and
  4. Use the Services.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is held securely. We (and through our third-party data server providers) have appropriate computer and network security measures in order to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.

Nevertheless, while we have these security measures in place, the internet is not a secure environment and online data transmissions or security measures may not be completely secure. As such, if you use the internet to send us information, you do so at your own risk. Please be vigilant in protecting your own personal details and please inform us if you become aware of any security breaches that may be relevant to us.

If you make credit card payments to us through the TaskEzy Application or TaskEzy Website, we do not store your credit card information. When you pay through the TaskEzy Application, you use the nominated payment gateway service (or other gateway service used by us from time to time), which has the “Secure Sockets Layer” encryption security measure among other security measures.

WHY DO WE COLLECT, HOLD, USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information:

  1. To provide you with the Services. For example, we:
    • Collect your location information from the Global Positioning System receiver in your mobile device or a TaskEzy Bluetooth device;
    • Provide Clients with Resource’s mobile number, and Resources with Clients’ numbers so that they may contact each other; and
    • Log your attendance at a Client’s site and record details of incidents for your security and to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. To respond to any queries or complaints you make with us;
  3. To contact you directly about any promotions, competitions or special offers about our Services, or those of organisations we partner with; and
  4. For our own internal business operations, including optimising or bettering our Services to you, or analysing and better understanding our customer base.

WHO DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO?

We may disclose your personal information by sharing this:

  1. for Clients and Suppliers: with Resources so that they may provide you with the services you have requested from them;
  2. for Resources and Suppliers: with Clients so that they may receive the services you have accepted to provide them, or might provide them;
  3. to third-parties that we engage to assist in providing the Services to you;
  4. to our related bodies corporate, and third-party service providers we engage to assist us in our business for example legal advisors, accounting, auditing, and business consulting;
  5. to governmental bodies and agencies, to verify details you have provided us with (such as licence details), in the event we reasonably believe you have engaged in any unlawful activity or in the event we are required to do so by law to the extent permitted under the Privacy Act; and
  6. when we otherwise notify you, and you consent to the disclosure.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

TaskEzy will not seek sensitive information from you as defined in the Privacy Act, except with your consent.  However, another party you are connected with in the TaskEzy Application (e.g. a Client, Supplier or Resource) may seek such information from you via the TaskEzy Application.  We encourage you to consider the privacy policy of that party in advance of providing such information and to consider if providing that information to them is an appropriate course of action for you.  We encourage you to seek your own external advice in relation to this where you have a concern and to contact TaskEzy to discuss the matter with us.  TaskEzy is not responsible for information you make available to such other parties via our TaskEzy Application.

ARE WE LIKELY TO DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO RECIPIENTS OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA?

No, we are not likely to disclose any of your personal information to recipients outside of Australia. We generally seek to use third party providers who are based in Australia but this is not always the case.  It is possible some of our third party providers may use data storage facilitates outside of Australia or other facilities outside Australia in performing their services for you or us.

HOW CAN YOU ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND CORRECT IT? 

You have a right to request access to your personal information and to request its correction from us.

We note you can login to your TaskEzy Application account to view and update certain personal information.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A COMPLAINT AGAINST US, AND HOW WILL IT BE HANDLED? 

You are entitled to complain if you believe that your privacy has been compromised or if you believe we may have breached the Privacy Act.

We will attempt to respond to you in writing within a reasonable period of time, informing you of our decision in relation to your complaint.

If you believe that your complaint has not been satisfactorily resolved, then you can access an external dispute resolution service (if applicable) or apply to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to have the complaint heard and determined. When we write to you about our decision, we will explain how you may access an external dispute resolution scheme (if applicable) or make a complaint to the OAIC.
